Bulldog-Olsen.png (content).pngNKK.pngIPFD Contributing Partner the Norsk Kennel Klub (NKK) is working hard for dog health/welfare. From 1 Aug 2022, there's a requirement for known BOAS status for breeding English & French Bulldogs. Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish bulldog owners and breeders travelled to the bulldog club's breed special to get their dogs BOAS graded. The article is in Norwegian, but you can use your browser's translate function or your preferred online translation tool if needed.

Since 2018, a pilot project has been underway to introduce Mental Index, MI, for a number of breeds based on Behavioural and Personality Description (BPH). The mental index, MI, is a value that helps provide guidance on the parent animal's ability to inherit various mental traits. This value can then be helpful when planning your breeding and choosing breeding animals. First out is the Rhodesian Ridgeback, which is accessible via the breed club's website.
