In 2026, key stakeholders will come together for the 6th International Dog Health Workshop (IDHW) – first in an online setting (16-17 April) for initial discussions, then in-person in Bologna, Italy, (30 May - 1 June) – for a multi-day collaborative event co-hosted by IPFDogs Contributing Member, ENCI.

IPFDogs is creating a series of articles on the Big Picture of health and welfare within breeds as resources for veterinarians, owners, caretakers, breeders and others who want to understand the key issues for individual dogs and breed populations, internationally; under the 'Get a GRIHP!' initiative, i.e. Globally Relevant Integrated Health Profiles.

A new report published in the peer-reviewed journal, Companion Animal Health and Genetics, outlines discussions and action items for improving dog health and well-being from the 5th International Dog Health Workshop, co-hosted by the International Partnership for Dogs (IPFD) and the Finnish Kennel Club (Suomen Kennelliitto) in Finland in June 2024.
