The European Continental Type (ECT), also known as the Landseer ECT, is a large dog resembling the Landseer Newfoundland but differing in type and temperament. Slightly taller and less broad, it exhibits a more active, assertive personality, requiring an experienced owner prepared for a large, energetic, and independent companion.
