Dandie Dinmont Terrier
Dandiedinmontinterrieri
The Dandie Dinmont Terrier originated in the border regions of Scotland and England in the 18th century, where it was bred to hunt otters and badgers. The breed takes its name from a character in the novel Guy Mannering by Sir Walter Scott, making it the only dog breed named after a fictional character.
