Finnish Hound
Suomenajokoira, Finsk Stövare, Chien Courant Finnois, Sabueso Finlandés, Finnischer Laufhund - Finnenbracke, Finsk Støver
Originating in Finland in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, developed from local Finnish hunting dogs crossed with Swedish and Russian scenthounds to create a breed suited for the harsh Nordic environment. It is a medium-sized hound with a short, dense coat typically red with white markings, a strong nose, erect ears, and a friendly yet determined temperament, primarily used for hunting hare and fox.
