Finnish Lapponian Dog
Suomenlapinkoira, Finnish Lapphund, Chien Finnois de Laponie, Perro Finlandés de Laponia, Finnischer Lapphund, Finsk Lapphund
The Finnish Lapphund originated in Finland, where it was traditionally used by the Sámi people to herd and guard reindeer. An interesting fact is that despite its herding roots, the breed is exceptionally friendly and social, making it both a hardworking companion and a popular family pet.
