Following Content: Categories, Articles, Forums, and Blogs

DogWellNet Members can Follow most of the content on the site, a feature that allows them to receive notifications when content of particular interest is updated or when new comments are posted.

If there is a number (other than zero) indicated in the white caption box within the Follow button to the right of the article title, you can click on it to see other members of the DogWellNet community who are also following the item. You can click on the Members’ names to view their profiles.

Note: If you wish to follow content anonymously, You can click the small arrow within the Follow button and uncheck the Let others see that I follow this box at the bottom of the drop-down menu (you can also configure your notifications in the drop-down menu). Then click the Follow This button at the bottom of the drop-down list.

Keeping Track of What You Follow

To configure notifications for content you follow, click on the arrow to the right of your name and select Manage Followed Content from the drop-down list. In this section, you can manage notification settings for following content you post as well as content posted by others.

Following Categories

While on a Category page, click on the Follow button to the right of the Category title. You can configure the Notification Settings in the drop-down menu, then click the Follow button at the bottom of the drop-down list.
 

Following Articles

While viewing an article, click on the Follow button to the right of the article’s title.  You can configure the Notification Settings in the drop-down menu, then click the Follow button at the bottom of the drop-down list. 

Following Forums

Members can follow Forum content at the Subforum level (e.g. General Information for Members Forum) or at the individual Topic level. While viewing the Forum or Topic of specific interest, click on the Follow button. You can configure the Notification Settings in the drop-down menu, then click the Follow button at the bottom of the drop-down list.

Following Blogs and Blog Entries

DogWellNet Members can follow Blogs (all posts will be followed) or individual Blog Entries.

• To follow a Blog, go to the Blog’s homepage (main Blog page is found here on DogWellNet) and click on the Follow button in the Blog header. You can configure the Notification Settings in the drop-down menu, then click the Follow button at the bottom of the drop-down list.
• While viewing a Blog Entry, click on the Follow button to the right of the entry’s title to follow that post.
