Customer can decide. Certificate says whether dog identity was verified by Vet or Studbook.

Sample Identification

A unique identifying number and barcode are issued to each sample. The same number and barcode are used throughout the testing process for full tracking in the LIM system.

Animal ID/ Sample Submission

Samples are registered in the database and LIMS system using the sample registration SOP. Labeled and barcoded samples are tracked using this identifier.

Test Result information

The certificates have information about the mutation tested, disease/ trait information, primary literature, method used for testing, to what genotypes the animal can be bred. The certificate is stored in the online account and is also sent to the customer by email. The email also contains a link to a webpage with more information about the test.

Test results provided to

The customer, and the studbook if it is enrolled in our DNA Program. The pdf has an electronic seal that can be verified on the website to ensure that it has not been tampered with.

Yearly inspection of SOPs, incident log filled in if any mistakes/inaccuracies found. If a test sample, customer is immediately informed and test is redone for free. If necessary, GTP will pay to have the sample rerun at another company.
